Lilian Snelling

Lilian Snelling (1879-1972) was a prolific artist whose style changed throughout her career. There are over 600 pieces by her in the Lindley Library. The earliest of which are the wild flower composites from the early 1900s. She was employed as artist to Edinburgh Botanic Gardens and went on to illustrate Curtis's Botanical Magazine for 30 years from 1922.
